Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born to the music-loving parents of her family. She spent most of her childhood listening to classic music, boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic tunes, as well older classical songs. Ana loves the operas and tangos along with the dramatic shows that she attends. She started singing and studying music with her mother, she began her more intensive vocal training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. While a young student and professional, she sang with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. After relocating into California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current home in southern California. She's a regular solo performer for private events and parties and performs traditional Latin American Music. The love she has for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps active in community projects in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana has been a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially for the young generation in keeping the music alive.
